I am perturbed by the number of
professional people using the word
'bug' when they are referring to an
antigen such as bacteria, viruses,
yeasts, etc.. I am especially perturbed
when medical professionals use it.
A 'bug' is an insect. It is identified as
such by having six legs and wings which
fold across the back. It is classed as
a macro-organism and can be seen with
an naked eye.
Antigens are micro-organisms, very tiny
creatures which can only be seen with
considerable magnification.
