In an earlier blog I made mention of how
location of an article has a big influence
on how the subject matter is perceived.
First of all, it is a proven fact very few
newspaper readers bother to read
news stories located in the back pages,
especially if they are located near or
at the bottom of the page; and especially
if they are located in the bottom, right
hand corner of the page.
How dark is the print? That also is a
determining factor on whether or not
the story is read. Even if it is read, a
news story with all those factors is
considered by most people as being of
not very great importance.
Add to the above factors, the size of the
headline, the size of the sub heading and
the size of the print also reach into the
subconsious mind to tell the reader how
important the story, and the subject, are.
